Cooliage “splash”

Sandwiched between the main house and an office ADU, we worked with our client to design a series of garden experiences, meditative moments to slow down into it. Moments in the garden to be experienced every day, to listen to the sound of water, pick fruit year-round, and to gather with friends and family around a fire pit.

With the inspired guidance of our client, we incorporated little details to reflect memories of growing up in Norcal: a pond with lilies and fish, redwood trees, and juicy fruit. We created three distinct zones to make the most of this precious space between: a meadowy mini orchard, a living pond ecosystem, and an intimate fire pit + dining zone incorporating reclaimed urban redwood. The orchard was curated with specialty fruits, including Bearss lime, tiger stripe fig, strawberry guava, and jujube to name a few.ents in the garden to be experienced every day, to listen
to the sound of water, pick fruit year-round, and to gather with friends and family around a fire pit.
